Twelve Months of Collecting Colour

Twelve months, done! Okay, so there where a few months where I cut it a bit fine but I still made it (in most time zones, anyway...). When I started this project one of the motivators was the idea of getting to the end and having twelve fun photos to play with. It's pretty great seeing them all together, a collection of collections.

If you'd like to have a look at all the Collecting Colour posts for 2012, you can find them here. And if you're interested in reading some more thoughts about the project you can have a look at this interview I did for Brandi Hussey's blog of awesome. I've so enjoyed this project - many thanks to each of you who looked, commented, and especially to those of you who played along. I am definitely keen to do something similar next year, so watch this space in January!

Now that I've finished the twelve collections, I've been having a bit too much fun playing with various Collecting Colour collages. Look, it's a Collecting Colour colour 'wheel'! And look, it's a Collecting Colour rainbow! And some metallics, just for fun! So many possibilities, I could go on for days...

  1. They look even more amazing displayed together like these! So much fun! I've loved each month of colour that you've done, and am always amazed at how many things in the same spectrum you managed to find! Love them!!

  2. I love seeing all 12 months put together! Loved it so much, I Pinned it! I wanted to take part every month, and then every month went by without me colour coordinating for the camera!
I really dig the white collection, btw. Beautifully minimalist :)

  3. Fantastic! Love the big shot(s)of all the colours together. You certainly have an eye for colour and design. I assume you're an artist/designer?

    1. You are too kind Stella - I am basically just a dabbler in many things, though I do think my life long love of photography has helped trained my 'eye'!

  4. Well, you beat me. I didn't start until March, and I have missed the last two months! Yikes! I am still thinking of doing them and continuing on until March but who knows. I really did enjoy the months I did participate, and I agree, the collections look great all together.

And the feature on Brandi's blog is terrific! props.

  9. All your collections look so wonderful together! Have you thought about preserving them in a book -- some sort of Apple or Blurb hardcover piece. Even though I didn't participate as much as I would have liked, I read each post and drooled over your collection and styling. Thank you for hosting this and I look forward to seeing what's up your sleeve in the New Year.
